3D Printed wooden accessories for Fairphone and 3D Hubs.
“Fairphone has created a special set of wooden, 3D printed accessoires for its latest model, Fairphone 2, that are printed at a facility in your own neigborhood.
For this purpose, Fairphone started a cooperation with 3D Hubs and designer Alan Nguyen. Together they created the first wooden phone accessoires, specially made for Fairphone. The set exists of a dock and an amplifier. For these accessoires, Alan Nguyen used the wooden filament called 'ColorFabb woodFill 3D'."

“What I really liked about this project was the ability to make use of a distributed manufacturing project helping to lead a ‘new way’ for products to get made. Not only are we helping minimize waste and help the environment, but we’re also helping lay the foundation for the future of local manufacturing,” said Nguyen.
